Matilda’s Urban Escape Story

Our home used to have a large backyard that took hours to mow under the Australian summer sun. When we rebuilt in 2024, we traded endless lawn care for a more thoughtful, welcoming space. Matilda’s Urban Escape became private two-bedroom accommodation, named after one of our mums as a small family tribute and a nod to our story of coming to Australia and embracing a name that feels truly local. Built first for family and friends, it is now shared as a comfortable, private stay with heart.

• Coffee, milk and pantry basics (salt, pepper and oil) supplied.
• Soft-close cupboards and drawers.
• Round dining table for 5 within the combined living, dining and kitchen space.

• 1 bathroom with rain shower and toilet.
• Bathroom with floor-to-ceiling tiles.
• Hair dryer supplied.

Laundry

• Washer dryer available for guest use.
• Clothes drying rack, plus a clothesline outside to the left of the front door.
• Iron and ironing board in the main bedroom cupboard.

• Private yard with lawn (no outdoor seating).
• Walking distance to a park and playground.
